About Boiling Billy Publications

Boiling Billy Publications was established in 1995 with a goal to publish Australian travel guides that are current, accurate and affordable. Our guides are designed to be user friendly and packed full of essential information so readers can get the most out of their travels. Our commitment is to continuously update information and produce revised editions. That way you, the reader can be sure that every Boiling Billy guide and map contains the most recent information available. We regularily camp out up to 150 nights each year gathering and checking information of upcoming titles.

The Australian bush has long been a place of adventurers, inventive and resourceful pioneers as well as yarn spinning ‘bushies’. We strive to bring these bush themes and values alive in our books. Our popular 4WD Tracks and 4WD Adventure series along with the well received and expanding Camping Guide series are sure to entice readers to venture off the beaten track. For the modern day explorer there is adventure aplenty in the Australian bush. The place we work is in keeping with the books we produce. Our home and office is in splendid isolation at the foothills of the Great Dividing Range
on the far south coast of New South Wales.

If you have any comments about this site, suggestions for outdoor books you would like to see us publish or would like to let us know about your recent or upcoming adventure then feel free to drop us an e-mail.

Boiling Billy's Craig Lewis and Cathy Savage

Originally from the north coast of New South Wales, Craig studied Environmental Science at the now Southern Cross University and then began working in welfare while Cathy, who hailed from Sydney, worked for a number of companies in office administration before joining the Variety Club of Australia and taking on a position co-ordinating the Variety Club Bash.

More content being in the scrub than in the suburbs, they throw down their swag in splendid isolation on the far south coast of New South Wales, inland from the sea side holiday town of Merimbula. They share their country home with a much-loved red kelpie named Kelly and numerous wombats, wallabies, possums and the odd echidna. The view from their office window looks out over the tranquil Towamba River Valley and across to the stunning mountains of the South East Forests National Park and Big Jack Mountain.

When not at home chained to the keyboard or telephone, they spend around three to four months of the year travelling to gather research material for upcoming books.
